| It’s not every day you hear of a local fundraising event with the power to impact a young person’s life for the rest of their life. But that’s exactly what Push-Up & Up does. We use the ordinary, everyday push-up as a metaphor for success, goal setting, and incrementalism. And it makes a difference.
Push-Up & Up supports the implementation of the Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area (CIS) program in 16 Charleston Area title one schools. Through CIS's partnerships with Charleston and Berkeley County School Districts, the CIS team works to address the ABC's (Attendance. Behavior. Coursework) for Lowcountry scholars that need it the most. The end result, a successful journey through their educational career culminating in graduation.
